I signed up with Shawn Casey a couple of weeks ago for $27.50. A message came across the screen saying my card was declined. I knew there was no reason why it should have been but I went with another card and it was approved. But so was the first one thereby causing me to pay Casey twice.

As though that wasn't bad enough, some joker called me up a few days later and because I didn't realize he was pitching Shawn Casey's garbage I paid another $17.50 for the same junk I already paid $55.00 for. All I ever got was some audio files saying more about Casey's idea that we should sell other suckers into paying for nothing just like I did. Basically nothing more than a pyramid scheme.

Then last night I got a call from some other nutcase telling me that I could get into his private tutoring class of some kind if I could qualify. So I went through the rigamarole of answering questions about how long I had been doing marketing and what I had marketed. Then he wants me to tell him all about how much money I have and how much I can devote to marketing Casey's grand scheme. I told him real quick that I wasn't about to give him any financial information at which point he said he was sorry but he didn't feel I would be a good fit for his new program.

What does that clown think I am, stupid or something?

He agreed to refund all my money and here he is, no refund and trying to hype me into giving him unknown amounts of money more for nothing? Not this week Pal, nor any other time soon.

No offense, and I agree with you that BH or not customer service should always be #1, but it seems to me that Shawn is one hell of a marketer. He sold you the same package twice. It's not really his fault that you bought it twice so I can't really bury the guy for this. However, he should only have charged you once and returned the money from the first CC you used. Did you notify him about the double billing?

Yes, I did and it wasn't double billing, it was triple billing. $27.50, $27.50 and $17.50 and all for the same product. Just ran into another funny one. I got approved for a program and found out they pay through your choice of webmoney or epassporte. Webmoney tried to tell me that I don't even know what my own phone numbers are and epassporte wants to know the credit history of all the corporate officers. They want to actually pull their credit reports. Here they are, some kind of so called bank in some 3rd world bananna republic and they want far more information than any American bank including gaypal wants to set up corporate accounts.

My corporation is totally anonymous and has no need for any of it's officers to put up personal guarantees of any kind for it. As I said before, if they want personal guarantees or money or much of anything else they can go to Helen Waite, my information manager and treasurer.

All I want to do is advertise for others as an affiliate and get paid if they make money from referrals I send them. Simple and easy but so far all I find is jokers wanting to play some kind of silly game or other or see how they can rip me off. I'm getting tired of that kind of treatment real fast and I'll be only too happy to post about people who are trying to be ripoff artists of any kind so others can be forewarned. Just like the clown that tried to use my money to get himself a look at some females dancing around nude last week, I'll be happy to see that clown rotting in some jail cell for a long, long time.

He is either a very good marketer. Or you're a little easy ;)

Either way, this is what chargebacks are for. Do that and your good to go.

Lesson: Don't pay for guru bullshit :)

shawn isnt a marketer to use a sly tactic to sell something ... yeh if he wud have sold it with a sales pitch then yeh hats off..

but u give an error that ur card didnt get accepted it is no freakin marketing skill .. thats jail time mate!

Yeah I agree! This guy definitely was pulling a fast one you. If you something even subtly worthwhile it can be sold through good marketing. I had a friend who lost around $1000 in a similar experience, and there was no way to get the money back, its gone completely forever. At least you only lost $72.50. ;)

So that's when you go to a site like TheVault and post his works, so others won't bother to pay for it.

Marketing and scamming are two different things. He didnt market anything....

my personal opinion - 00.02cents says. . .

I checked out this guy a long time ago and he gave me the creeps - kinda like a used car salesman

I think nichemarketing goldmine was one of his products

Anyways - I used the site feature in google and got ALL of this stuff -- for free -giving it the once over I would not pay for this unless I was actually new to the internet

He is actually a very clever marketer and knows how to use Pub. relations well to get sales. Its a shame his products are so lame

OP - If you got ripped - do tthe right thing - let him know in a "nice" email and charge back the over charges - and next time use your common sense and don't pay twice

just my 000.02cents

I must admit that I am as green as a gourd and as dumb as a fence post but I normally spot the guru bullshit pretty fast. I get a couple hundred emails a day from the bullshit artists and just hit shift delete on them. Problem is that I can't seem to find anything but guru bullshit. I'm beginning to think there isn't anything else on the net but that.

He's a former lawyer.Get a life!
He's a former lawyer? So what? I eat lawyers for lunch every day. I've won 171 straight cases against lawyers in federal court cases with never a loss. I've won a bunch of local court cases too but usually run into stupid judges sitting on local court benches so end up having to take the lawyer and his plaintiff to federal court to beat the crap out of them. I've got one case in court against BOA right now for an $80,000 default judgment. Even though we got a default judgment they came back and complained to the judge that we had sent the summons to the wrong address so the judge is giving them a second bite at the apple. They aren't doing any better on the second bite than they did on the first bite. All they are doing is stalling and coming up with dumb bullshit. Lawyers don't bother me none. If he was any good he would still be a lawyer. What happened? Did he get disbarred for pulling some dumb stunt like defrauding a client or something?

The vault? What is the url? I looked for it on google and couldn't find anything that even smelled like it might be what you mentioned here.

Shawn Casey like many other of the popular "gurus" is using a tactic that has been going around for several years now. You sign up for a free or cheap product with the promise that you will get incredible results. During this process you are asked for your phone number. You will then get a call from the "guru's" team offering you a prime spot in their exclusive one on one training program if you "qualify ( meaning if you have enough money on your credit card to pay them).

You will be told that it will be almost impossible to sort through the information on the internet and be successful unless you have a personal coach. It sounds like they all use the same script - they want to know how much time you have, what's your credit like and are you willing to in "invest" in your future.

I'm not saying that they are all scammers - some maybe very good but don't be fooled by the private mentoring spill.

If you want to avoid these pesky calls, follow my lead and don't give them your phone number on sign up forms and optin boxes.

That's probably very good advice but if you follow it to the letter then you will never get anywhere. You will never get affiliated with any programs anywhere. You will never have anything to market. Seems to me like you have to go through the mill in order to learn what has value and what is a scam. If there is any other way I sure would like to know about it.

TheVault.bz, a lot of his "works" are already on there. It's a private torrent tracker though, you need an invite to get in.

Shawn is just another crooked lawyer. No offense. I bought one of his packages about a year and a half ago and it took forever to get him to quit calling me. I learned to never give out my true phone number.

Good luck on getting him to stop calling.

He has been around for years now. I never liked his products. I rarely ever see anyone refer to him.
But many of these guys keep calling and want you to buy their tutoring stuff. I will not fall for that anymore.

I have never heard anything good about Shawn Casey! Sorry to hear you got ripped off by him.

Yeah thats what i mean how come a lawyer can become an internet marketer?

I am telling Shawn Casey to get a life , not you.
Peace.
