Status Updates Vs Invites

As per topic title, which do you think has a better effect in getting users to your fan page?

I have quite a few pages now and I status update to gain fans of a new page and though it works ok it always seems to be a short blast and then the users stop joining.

I'm considering purchasing some page invites but have never tried this before and would like to get some opinions.

Well think about it like this.

When you do a status updates it shows in their newsfeed. But the older your status update is the more it gets pushed at the bottom of your fans newsfeed. So thats why you get a blast when you first post cause it shows in their "most recent" but when you do a page invites it shows in the page suggestion tab and it stays there till the user ignores it or accepts it. That being said a status update on a 100k page is not as effective as a 100k page invite.

Thanks for the reply. That's how I was looking at it really, just looking to try something new. I have a 1.2m page and several other pages in the thousands and though I can bring in some good $ I'm thinking of something more effective. Think I will give invites a shot

buddy if you ask me i will say make money from these big pages fb has become a bitch they ban stuff so fast now why are you waitting just make the $ while you can just my 2 cents becuse i know how much it hurts when you lose a page or profile
