Static Wordpress site?

afaik you can remove the feed via an option in wp-admin. Not sure, correct me if incorrect 
Essentially you want to use wp super cache, its a wp plugin. Produces static pages for faster load times and lowered server resource usage. Afaik, you can disable posts and comments in wp-admin also.

There are a plenty of step by step tutorials already available over the WWW. Why not just search for it?

Okay thanks for trying to help but obviously I already looked on google I'm not an idiot. My reasons are my own, I'm not making a blog, I'm making a website. If alph9 could go into more detail about where it is in the wp-admin that would be great because I can't find it.

There is a very user friendly option to pick any post or page in your settings to be displayed as a static main page. In addition with the theme editor you can really do anything you want to a WP site, just jump in and then Google each step as you go.
