Everyday i meet people confused about which type proxy to use for which purpose. So here is my effort to write a simple thumb rule.
Static: All those usecases in which you need to maintain a consistent identity for a long term with a website. In simple words, when you want to run/grow/farm a single account on a website. You need a static proxy because same account frequently changing IPs is a RED FLAG. Examples: Instagram growth, Facebook Growth, Ebay , Paypal,Mail accounts etc
Rotating: Where you have to do one off task and dont want to establish a long term identity with the website. Examples: Scraping data, Registering new accounts (but only when you dont habe to run them continuously for long term)
