So what tends to rank better blog posts or a static page? Or does it not matter ?

Thank you.

Google ranks pages, go for blog posts.

No meaningful difference, though posts are time stamped which seems to give an advantage in suggesting freshness

both are easy, but I static page with fast loading speed would be better.

I always go for static pages for aesthetics, it doesn't affect your rankings one way or another.

A static page looks more like a website, and post page looks more like a blog. It depends on the look and feel you want for your site and if you want to rank for a few keywords on your home page or individual posts. I prefer static page because it looks better to a user thats looking for information about the topic that they're visiting the site about.

Simply put both can rank but it depends on what type of site you are wanting to create. Static is best and necessary
for creating a full fledged CMS with WordPress. You can even add a blog page to update and get personal with your visitors.
