Starting up my own ecommerece store

I have been selling on Etsy, eBay, and Storenvy for a few years and making some good full time income. Been thinking about moving on to my own website for quite a while but don't know where to start. I know SEO is vital and the ultimate method to gain unlimited free traffic to a ecommerce store and I want to get some opinions on where I should create my shop from. My 2 choices are shopify and Storenvy. Both are easy to use but Storenvy has lower flexibility but lower fees comparing to Shopify which takes a fraction of every single one of your sale.

I have used wordpress before but not so happy with it since it is not easy to use and their apps crash all the time that I had to hire a freelancer every month to fix the issues.

Would appreciate some one with lots of ecommerce experience to help me out with this decision.

Before selecting the platform to build your e commerce website, check how they can help you in boosting your website.
For example : seo plugins, free payment gateways, how is it help full in managing your content on your website, website can be viewed globally or only in some countries and last check pricing.

I cant stress this enough:
Write down all your current requirements
Write down all your future requirements/wishlist

Email both sales teams and see who supports the majority of your requirements.

For example: do you offer different pricing to different countries? some platforms dont have integrations for this and will require a subdomain, thats negative IMO for SEO because now you have a subdomain and root domain and youre basically competing with yourself.

If you have web design skills then I would say go with wordpress and woocommerce - that way you have full control and no monthly costs.

If not, I would suggest shopify - you said yourself you are making a full time living from this, so don't scrimp too much on the costs - after woocommerce shopify is the most popular ecommerce platform so it stands to reason that it will have the best support and probably the best features and performance.

I will always choose WordPress but your requirements may be different as well as your skill level

WP not good for you ? well i am little shocked, as only wp can give you full control over your site.

Wordpress didn't work out for me because there are many things technical and I always have to hire a freelancer to fix it for me.

shopify is easier and wordpress is my choice
