Starting up first blog, do i need a landing page?

Hello all BHers, i'm starting to hone in on some ideas based off of some product i saw on clickbank,
now my question is, do i need a landing page or does that affiliate provide that? Do i just use a the link they provide and sit back or do i need to create 2 pages to get what i'm trying to get done?

If anyone has the time to answer some questions i'd really appreciate that, i'm always on skype pm

and yes LP are important to create a list of prospects
