Starting Up Blogs For SEM

Would it be a good idea to start a blog on many of the free blogging sites (e-blogger, weebly, wordpress, etc...), and then post to those blogs as random visitors with backlinks to my sites? Or does somehow Google know that you're the same person who started the blog so it doesn't make a difference?

You can change the username for each site you register for, often you cannot sign up with the same username as it is taken anyway. And in regards to your name and email you can use abbreviations, different emails etc to vary it up. Then the next thing to do is make each one different, one can be a factual overview, one can be a story from someone etc.

Ok, that's what I was hoping to hear. I wasn't sure if the Google bot was so smart it could figure out that the posts were made by the same person who created the blog - even with different emails.
