Hi all,

I originally had my first taste of IM about 12 years ago. Firstly I was just using burn out/cash cow methods of making money. About 8 years ago I ran a PPC CPA campaign for about 3 years which was successful until rules which were implemented cut my profit.

So I haven't done anything IM related for about 4-5 years and looking to get back into it. I am thinking of starting slowly because: a) I don't have much spare money to invest and b) I want to build some confidence in IM again.

I have always known about Amazon Associate and had an account for years, which I have received small commissions for the odd sale I used to get via a blog. But I have never made a blog with the sole intention of affiliating with Amazon. I have an idea of a niche that I have a great interest in, and which I don't think is majorly competitive and I am thinking of getting started with this.

I have carried out basic SEO in the past (talking 7-8 years ago), and I imagine that a lot has changed since then. I used to find a lot of do-follow blogs and post in them, and get backlinks from forums etc. From reading around I'm not so sure that is is so effective. I have only just learned what a PBN is; they seem effective but probably too costly for me to start up with right now. I do currently have a bit more time on my hands so I don't mind taking the longer/cheaper route right now. I also already have experience with Wordpress etc.

What I hope to achieve is (as mentioned) some confidence, and some capital to expand and grow in different directions.

I'd appreciate anyone chiming in to give me some advice, I may even start a journey thread if I continue to feel motivated like I currently do.

Cheers!

Do you means IM = Instagram?

Instagram? 12 years ago? woah...

Lol.. thats make sense... good luck for your journey! :)

Thanks for pointing that out. Shows how easily you can deter people with assuming they will know what you're on about.
