    Hi,

I've been in the IM game for about 2 years and experenced some success with it. I did a bit of CPA mixed with some blackhat methods and made some reasonably money but nothing consistent because in the end i just got banned from every network. I then moved in to the adult niche building my own sites and it does pretty well making sales every now and then but it's getting very hard now with the amount of free tube sites out there and they are only increasing everday. I've been looking at trying PPC for a while and see how i get on with it. I've read some people success stories and it sounds like it can be real money earner if you know what you are doing. I don't currently have any experience with it and i was wondering if any of the more experienced members in this market would be willing to give me a few pointers? Not asking for exact details just somewhere to start out. I don't wanna get ripped off with these online IM courses that costs $$$ when i can learn it for free!

    Thanks

This is a great question. The main thing that will make you successful in PPC advertising is constructing a streamlined "funnel" or "path" for users to follow in order to convert. Landing page optimization is one of the most important factors in having success with any type of PPC advertising. Also, research industry standard CTR's, keyword cost per click, and conversion rates for the products or services you are selling. This will help you know if you are successful or not.

Be sure to include keywords that you used in your ads in a prominent place on the landing page. Users need to know they landed in the right place after they have clicked on your ad. You also need to deliver what it was that the ad promised them. For instance if your ad text says "Buy XYZ product only 9.99", this text should also be on the landing page.

Make it as easy as possible for users to complete the action that you want them to complete. Whether it is signing up for a newsletter, buying a product or service or something else, make it as easy and simple as you can.

Here is a good post about PPC advertising,

I highly recommend this book (you can get it in eBook form) for conversion optimization,

    Here is another good resource,

Good luck and I hope this helps you,

The first thing you can do is to find a niche and traffic source you are going to target for your paid traffic. I would suggest to NOT go with any courses (ebook types) rather than there are some free and paid forums where you can learn PPC techniques and discuss about. Here on bhw we don't have much about PPC yet but still here are some good threads under the rock so find them.

After doing this do some practical learning set your budget to 100$ and spend like $10 a day and buy cheap clicks or may be try per impression. Please note don't get carried away from a niche if it doesn't covert as mostly guys will leave it at this and won't try new traffic source. If one traffic source doesn't work that doesn't mean the other won't work on the same niche. Good luck.

PPC books in the download section of this forum. As for finding something to sell, if it was me I would go with something more solid.
