Starting out on PPC/PPV

Hi,

I want to start out on PPC and maybe even PPV. I have had an experience with ad**rds already though it wasn't too good.

I lost 80 bucks and got nothing in return. Back then I was way dumber though so I want to give it another shot. I just like the thought of turning money into to more money.

My question is how hard is it?

Also I want to promote an acai berry product. Is this niche too competitive to start out with? Only want to pay 5 to ten bucks a day on my campaign until I get the hang of things, so I only want to pay about 30 cents max per click. Is this mthod bound to fail? Should I rather go into PPV or do both at the same time?

Advice is highly appreciated and will be thanked if it's good.

5 to 10 bucks a day promoting acai is going to score you a big goose egg for conversions.

Unless you know the insides and out of ppc, don't start with something as expensive/competitive as acai (especially at a $10 per day cap).

Do some research on the price of keywords of different offers from your networks. You'll find something cheap enough.

Also, don't do PPV unless you know what you are doing. You have to drop a minimum of a 1k deposit to start out with and if you search around the forum a bit, a lot of people have had negative experiences with it. Don't get me wrong, done right it sounds like it has done great for some people. Just sounds like 1k is a lot to put into something just starting out.

PPV is very good to start out with there is only one site that ask for 1k and that is Trafficvance.

There are others you can try like Zango yes I said Zango I am getting a great return on it remeber I have 3 to 5 cent impression if done right you can will be in the red.

Done right me target url not keywords.

They key to all of them you must be willing to lose some money to make PPC/PPV work.

I would not start off with google,yahoo or msn try 7search to start with.

I'll always keep PPV in mind dominodivine. I also really believe there are people racking it in at PPV. But I don't think it's as easy as some make it sound or they just got lucky. As soon as I get something out of this IM stuff I'll definitly look into that route.

It's not like I don't have the money to start out PPV, but I've spend a little to much on dumb stuff in the last while.

Yeah the acai berry market seems to be really competitive in CPC, the thing about it that catches my eye is that I find there are a lot of good buying keywords out there you could dominate through SEO. (I'm much more experienced in SEO than PPC/PPV).

Damn gotta think about this.

Is it just me or does it seem like PPV would have better ROI on opt-in, free stuff, etc. offer and PPC is more the sales thingy?

losing 80 bucks with no return is NOTHING.
If your not ready for that again then you've got to get rich doing something else first.
Start with craigslist posting or something. When you've got some thousands then you can start with PPC/PPV.

Just what I think.
If you depend on a set amount of dollars to get the money flowing then this isn't right for you.

On my second try I lost $500 with a clickbank product without getting anything in return.

I'm a newbie and I want to start PPV and PPC. I don't really have a decent website since I just created it and still learning. Do you think I should hire someone else to do it for me? The problem is that I have a very tight budget since I recently lost my job. Please help!

Thanks secret having more and more doubts too. Just seems if you have a campaign going with any kind of ROI you are the king of the world. I know I'll have to pay a lot of money to learn and I read a thick book about PPC on adsense and now is my time to take action.

Still have so many questions though. The book basically says in one sentence it's all about testing and expect to loose money.

It's not really like I don't have money definetly not 300-500 buxks a day to stick in ad***** like some other people but I could afford loosing 500$ though I'm not really looking forward to it. But seriously if that's the price I have to pay to learn how to build campaigns with 100% ROI I'm willing.

check out google cash detective they have a free trial for the next week or so.... spy on other peoples ads find profitable campaings.. and learn... if your going to hop into anything try to find it in there

Thanks a lot Siek. That's one of the main things I don't get either. There are so many great spy programs out here you can basically get all the keywords from a succseful campaign. I know having your keywords straight is not all there is to it but I think a lot of people would agree if I say having your keywords straight is a key factor.

Damn how hard can it be? I mean I lost eighty bucks on a campaign but if you would have seen it you would have started breaking out in tears laughing. It was destined to fail. One of the biggest mistakes was that my landing page was a blog and it wasn't a pretty one. WTF?
