Starting out at Instagram

Hi,

I'm pretty new to instagram marketing but I've started a new account with a specific niche and wanted some general advice. It's been going a few days and I've done the following;

1. Started an account and made ~9 posts in the niche with a caption and 11+ researched hashtags. With the aim of posting 1 to 2 times per day.

2. After posting, I will find other users that fall within my niche by searching my recently posted hashtags. Ideally they are small accounts of less than 2k followers. If they're regularly posting within my niche subject then I like their recent 4 or 5 posts, leave a unique comment related to one of the posts and follow them.

It's working ok, I'm getting engagement, comment replies, likes, a slow trickle off follow backs etc but it's time consuming. I've been looking into automating some of the process but don't really know where to start. Which service to use and how to use it safely and cost effectively?

Could anyone shed some light on how to get started with automating the above process? or At least making it more efficient?

Rather you go manually and devote yourself to it (for it you must be a talented person and your content must be outstanding)
or trick the growth using advanced automated setups.
There is no easy way this days.

There a few automatic bots for follow, like and comments.

Dont rely solely on bots as offered above. Their engagement will not be long-lasting. While it is a good start for some exposure, the things you are doing now work better,keep going with it!

Bots such as Instamber and Ingramer may be helpful at first. They will save you some time and grow your following. However, the engagement and followers they bring may not be meaningful for your account.
You should probably test a bot and see if it helps you grow your account. Still, don’t rely solely on bots. Since you’re already doing such a good job manually, you should stick to that. Yes, it will take a lot of time and effort, but the results will eventually become worth it.
