Hello BHW, I am considering starting an onlyfans. Is it still profitable in 2025? I know the market is saturated but I figured with enough tricks you could still build a following. I know you must build your following outside of onlyfans if you ever hope to succeed. Anyone have any good links to resources where I could read more about this? Not looking to outsource the work but might pay for a couple tools if they’re worth it. Thanks a bunch!!

It’s still profitable but definitely tougher now since competition is huge. the key is building traffic outside onlyfans, like tiktok, twitter, or reddit, then funneling people in. if you treat it like a real business with consistent content, promos, and maybe a tool or two for automation, you can still make it work.

Well, you'll have to farm lots of accounts on almost all social media - drive traffic to your main accounts and then it'd be simple funnel to your OF. You'll need proxies and bots, generated or scraped content etc. You'll also need accounts or make them and warm 'em up yourself.
Read stuff in journeys section - you should be able to find threads where people grow social media accounts.

As people have said since there isn't really a viable in-platform discovery the best way to approach this is driving traffic from outside and grow your own audience.
There are multiple strats to earn with OF, for a kickstart you can always collab and SFS for subscribers with other creators and see how that works for you.

Biggest thing is building traffic outside OF Reddit, Twitter, TikTok are still the main drivers if you know how to work them. Consistency and niche branding matter a lot more than just posting random content.
Don’t expect overnight results, but if you treat it like a business (track numbers, test offers, reinvest in promotion tools), you can definitely carve out a space. I’d recommend starting small, testing multiple funnels, and doubling down on what brings in paying fans.

I started Fan Vue and made a membership sale on my first day without any content. So yes toally start, people want to spend money on these sites. I'm an animator, so I have loads of great creative ideas for members to see, what content do you plan to promote on OF, apart from your "chest" ? (going by your username! lol)

Totally agree with all comments above. The niche is still very popular, however, compared to how it was back in 2022, now regular photos and videos are no longer enough to attract the attention of a large audience, so suggest you to think about your own style, or about building traffic from another platforms (Reddit/Twitter etc.).

It's a grind for sure, especially starting fresh in 2025. You're right, the market is saturated. Profitability depends entirely on your strategy and consistency. Building an audience *off-platform* is non-negotiable. Don't expect organic growth from the platform itself.
