Hey Minupi, just wanted to say congrats to you and I am pulling for your success. I started my first business at 12 (It was a chicken farm! Now I work on the internet! Haha!), so I know it can totally be done. My first thought when I read our initial post - have some folks that you know go out and sell your services for a commission. That is what I am starting to do, and I have had lots of folks who are good at sales jump all over the idea.

Hello Oktxc.

Thanks for your reply!
And thanks for the good wishes! You got me laugh abid(I am taking you serious it was a friendly laugh) A chicken farm! How did you get that idea xD
I am not being evil, I think it is a great idea :)! I hope you made money from it :)
Also nice to know that others also started at a young age!
Btw your way is the way I wanna get clients, but I dont want the refferer to make the sale... Literally because of trust issues (:
Good luck to you too.

Best regards Minupi!

Dude hats off to you! You should definately do face to face, if you can handle a few rejections the knowledge you would gain would put you so far ahead of the crowd in years to come. Alot of business I know would die for the chance to get a 13 year old insight into the world of IM and if you have all this knowledge and your putting it into practice imagine what you will know in ten years time. I would give my right arm to be that age again and have such skills, go for it man and enjoy the ride the money will definately come your way if you don't give up in the meantime you will learn more than you could ever imagine by going out and doing it!

Hello Maddness.

I am doing the things you stated to practice.
I know they work well face to face, but I could always get someone else to speak with
the client. Actually I am saving for two things, a house and investing money, that I can put into my Internet firm when I get to the age of 23 xD (Strictly planned life xD)

Regarding the student thing. I'd like to have it like you.

Thanks for letting me ask questions if I need to (:

Best regards Minupi!

Thanks man! (:

I can handle rejections, but I am just nervous about speaking to them...
Because I would'nt be able to handle laughs (If they laugh at me)
I find it disrespectfull if someone laughs at me when I am being serious xD

Best regards Minupi

Get a partner and sign a contract so he can't steal your idea. Some business major would be perfect.

Market yourself as the 13 year old SEO genius.
Have a few examples of you outranking the big guns,
do a local press release, and a local interest tv mention
and wait for your phone to ring off the hook.

This is an excellent idea, one other thing that might help, take a couple businesses and do it for free (especially charities, this will make it much easier to get press about your skills) then get a writer to write about you in your local paper, and put that on your website selling your services. Then make sure you are ranking well on your own site too. Get testimonials, you might have to do them for free or cheep first, but nothing speaks more than results. I've been running my own businesses since I was around your age, it definitely can be don, and beats working for anyone!

Man, when I was 13 I was worried about video games. I would agree that you should really build a few sites first, get em to rank. If you really know how to rank a site, one thing you might try is to rank a site for a certain local keyword where you know there are other businesses. That way you can approach them and say that you already got the top spot for their keyword.

Confidence will make or break your biz

Prove your results
- before you start make sure you reallly know your stuff
- get several of your sites ranked high above local companies for keywords they want.

One call and a cleverly written press release to your hometown newspaper and the same press release to the pr/ceo/marketing dept. of the companies you are dominating and the momentum will take over and the fact you are 13 will not be a liability but a cute novelty that everyone will be amazed at and soon enough you will be sought after as the "13 year old web genius" who works for us... It's the kind of stuff the guys that you work for will love to tell others on the golf course and everywhere they go. Everyone loves a good story and you can be the story.

Get ready for the ride.

GL!
