Hey all, I'm just starting out...my intention is to start with an affiliate site. I've got the domain and the host set up, just need to build the website, clone it and set up multiple affiliate sites.

In order to build the foundation (the first site) I thought of doing it myself using WordPress but wondering if it wouldn't be better to just pay someone to build the website for me or at least the template and I could fill in the content and pics. Any of you do it this way? Is it recommended?

Thanks!

It should be an easy decision- and it depends whether you have the skills, the time and the want to do it yourself, weighed up against the cost of paying someone else to do it.

You sound unsure and likely to waste your own time with pondering about it. Pay someone. Git er done

If I have someone do it, I'd want someone with experience developing affiliate sites...I could put it up for bid on elance or similar site but you never know what or who you're gonna get there.

Since you all are in the biz, any suggestions on who or where to look for someone that's familiar with this industry to get a SEO friendly and well laid-out affiliate page?

post in hire a freelance or wanted to buy section and check if you can get what you're looking for

VivaHost, I like what you proposed; in answer to your question - I would provide my own content, just need the structure of the site to add to it as I go. I can't PM anyone, not sure why I have to post 15 times first....
