Starting from zero again

I've made decent money back when Instagram pages were easy to grow so I'm not completely new to the concept of money-making methods taking a bit of time before seeing any results, I currently have two options and I just need an idea of what's better for starting out if that can even be answered.

1. Leverage free traffic (Invest time on Youtube, tiktok, reddit or instagram. Focusing on studying them one at a time for a few weeks/months)

2. Invest time in learning a skill (making sure it's the least saturated thing I can find, and later struggle with getting offers on freelancer sites until I use the methods here to make it work)

I've been browsing the money-making related forums here for a while before thinking about asking this question, I just need a vague answer so I can start

Hi,

1. Getting traffic is always the best option for monetization ( long-term )

2. Learning skill is easy, but getting experience is the Hard part because most freelancer sites are saturated for Cheap prices

I started in 2019 so it wasn't that long ago, I sold everything due to low motivation only to come back 3 years later and find out that things got even harder with growth methods. I still believe that there's money to be made although it might require more effort
