Starting from scratch on Weibo with content backlog

I want to build up a Weibo account to grow my following and fanbase in China. I have a huge backlog of IG content (been growing several IG accounts over the past couple years), so I can cross-post plenty of stuff to Weibo, I just know nothing about the platform. I only have super basic Chinese skills, so navigating the native Chinese app is really tough.

Do you guys have any resources where I can learn Weibo growth strategies or good posting habits? Even better if you recommend a person or business who can work with me to build up the account.

Any advice would be much-appreciated.

don’t just repost IG — it won’t work well on Weibo.
Follow trending topics/hashtags (super important)
Post short, frequent content (2–4/day)
 
You have*to get a local agency or a super pro chinese social media manager because just cross-posting ig and basic chinese skills won't fly on weibo to actually grow your fanbase

focus on localizing your IG captions instead of just direct translating to avoid getting shadowbanned by the algo.
 
Weibo growth = don’t just repost IG, you must localize (Chinese captions, trends, KOL style).
follow top creators in your niche + consider a local Chinese freelancer/agency to handle language and posting habits
