I've always wanted to start a clothing line but never really found the right market. I have done some research and I am ready to start now. I just have a few questions from those who have already done it. 1) Who is a good t shirt dropship supplier? I would need pocket tees, tank tops, longsleeves, and sweatshirts with design on front and back 2) Do you recommend I copyright my designs? 3) Is Fiverr a good place to find a designer? I have a few designs but just need someone to put them on paper and make them loom pretty! Thanks in advance :)

You've done research but don't know the answer to these questions? This better be a joke mate.

1. If you wish to Protect your design yes u would "copyright" your works also "Trademark" your logo in the appropriate category.
2. if your looking for a tshirt supplier use google there's hundreds of them.

Have you thought of launching a Zazzle, Cafepress, Etsy store to gain a following & test your market first?
You need to have unique merchandise and a brandable name. Find the people you cater to - see what they want that preferably ISN'T there and provide it.

Contact me I can help you I been working in the fashion scene for 7 years

I have done this. If you are asking the questions that you are asking, then you haven't done enough research. you need to answer these questions first:

1. what is your market? your target market will dictate what blanks you will want to print/embroider on. For ex, if you have a hiphop style market, you don't want a tight fitting hipster look....you will want bigger sizing.

2. You need to order a bunch of blanks to sample. When I started, I sourced hundreds of garments and got opinions on them from people I trusted. Hats, hoodies, short sleeved, tanks, etc.

3. designs aren't too difficult to get into the right format. There are thousands of good artists out there that can create your ideas in a vector format...which is what you need for screen printing. For embroidery, you need a person that can digitize a design for you.

4. Spending the money to copyright is largely a waste of money, unless you really have something catchy that is very unique to you. I would trademark my company name, logo, and catch phrase, but the designs are tricky. most of your designs will be lucky to earn as much as it would cost you to copyright it. Fashion is a tough business. There is a ton of copying going on.

5. You may find a good designer on fiverr, but you get what you pay for.

I think I can help you with this.

I am a dropshipper of tshirts and I am based in India. I also have access to lots of clothing factories that manufacture for many famous brands.

Starting your clothing line is much easier than you may think. First of all get your brand name and logo and depend on where you live, you can register the logo for trade mark. If you are starting out and planning to sell it on the net, then you can go for the registration part when you are expanding.

For manufacturing each design, there is a MOQ or the minimum order quantity. Most factories i know have a MOQ of 300 pieces to start with.

If you dont have designs, then its fine, I can help you with the designing part, we have many pre designed mockups.

Contact me if you need to take this forward.

I too will be going forward with this clothing line and will need help in designs now mostly. I do have some ideas but will need better digital designs.

you dont need a thsirt dropshipper if u use teespring, u upload the design and deisgn the shirt, and they take care of the rest, the only thing you are responsible for is getting sales,

when someone purchases a shirt from you through teespring, teespring takes care of the rest

i suggest paying some guy with alot of followers on Instagram to post a pic wearing ur shirt and tell thier followers to buy the shirt, youll get a good amount of eposure that way

Which niche are you into? Fitness niche ist maybe the best for you, you can give away free tanktops to muscleboys on instagram and they will post them. Contact me if you want more information, I know some model agencys with lots of IG models.
