Starting Bum Marketing for First Time

Just a couple niche questions: What should I be looking for when I do this? I have a good keyword domain name - 40k searches a month and I have keyword.com available. Does this mean I could get #1 very easily for this term? Would it be worth going for?

EDIT: Never mind about the 40k searches a month, it was on sale as a premium domain ($1800+)

Also - does .com/.net/.org/etc... differ and what should I aim for in monthly searches?

I've read this a little bit. I was a lazy SOB and should have just checked my email for my Helping Affiliate thing on Bum Marketing. I just remembered it not mentioning some of these answers, so I wanted to get them out.

Wow - I feel like I'm on cloud 9. I just bought a 100% keyword .com domain name for something that gets searched 34k times. I will have no trouble dominating this niche too.

well since you bought it and your new to this, why not try ranking for it anyway, and learn and get some practice as you do so.

I decided to buy a new one which gets like 4k exact's a month, so I'm going with that. I've got the squeeze page made - now we come to promotion! Thanks for your suggestion though.
