Starting Affiliate Marketing

Hello,

I've known about this forum for years, and for years I've been thinking about finally getting into affiliate marketing. I think it's time to make some passive income.

My plan is to do this mainly on pinterest by putting images from a very specific niche such as pet toys (this is just an example). From what I've seen of competitors, they all put a few images related to their field with a little sentence like “The 10 best pet toys” and then you're redirected to their site, which contains a list with Amazon affiliate links.

So I thought I'd automate the pinterest posts and use ia to write the website articles with the affiliate links.

Is this the best way to go in 2025 or am I missing something?

Is it the best way to go in 2025? It is better than not doing anything at all because free traffic will take time + effort!

No dead technique in the money making/online world,try to read other affiliate journey here to increase your approach for sustain conversion.
Don't rely on Pinterest only,try other social app and pay for promotion for fast sale.

Well you have a good decision. But why couldn't you dive into dropshipping instead of Affiliate?

Not really passive income. I've already tried it and I don't really like the concept

Well dropshipping is a maxive business but I understand that it's important for someone to understand concept of business before diving Into it..

I can boldly say dropshipping is more profitable than Affiliate,
What's actually the challenges when you're doing dropshipping?

I tried it at least 4-5 years ago. I know how to make sites without problems and very well designed, but the product/advertising part is not my thing. My goal is to automate a business and make passive money, not to spend my time only on that, that's why I think affiliation can be more profitable if well automated.

Yes, I want to do it the right way, no bs methods or black hat seo etc

Well, I understand you but to be honest with you, marketing advertisment to bring the product to From of people for letting them know what you're selling is important but that actually not a problem if you have a marketing expert to help you .... Do you also know that in this Affiliate marketing too, you need marketing advertisment too..???
