Starting a new project with the right linkbuilding / linkprofile

Hey guys,
ive indexed a new project yesterday with about 100 pages. So what do you guys think is the right way to do linkbuilding now? Are blogcomments and profile links fine in 2018? Or better not?

I thought for following:
Step 1) some web and business directories (blogcomments? profile links?)
Step 2) forum threads
Step 3) guest posts and maybe some PBNs

I think you need to mix. Look at your niche. What is the profile of your competitors?
We use the mixing strategy: 2-3 posts in blogs, 2-3 forum topics, 2-3 directory, 2-3 comments.

I think thats the right thing, yes. A competitor of me has always expired domains linking to him. The other one has pretty mixed profile like you said

The link building depends on your niche. Also, you must analyze the backlinks and referring domains of your competitor's websites and then plan your link building techniques.

Use Ahrefs to see your competitors backlinks. Also they have a tool call Link Intersect where you can compare multiple competitors and see which backlinks they share. The trial is like $7

Pretty solid.

Do profiles and social fortress but wait with any other linkbuilding for at least about a month.

I would keep PBNs and guest poss for 3+ months once site is aged a little to be honest.

It's not just a mix of links that's needed, it's a mix of basic strategies. Diversify the quality links as above suggested, but start from a good foundation of low-competition keywords, with each one having at least 30-40 good backlinks each. And every page for which one is trying to rank for the keyword should have engagement elements (long text, and/or useful graphics, video, quizes, polls and othe stuff to encourage dwell time on the site). Cap it off by packing the article titles with at least a little clickbait, to encourage more clickthroughs when found in the search results.

It depends on your niche but those that you mention are hardy good to use to pint direct to your important sites.
