I need to start a new channel, I've recently changed niches, was using an old channel but Youtube was like "No" with the shorts, and I know they should be a breeze for a good amount of views anyway. The old channel i did delete shorts

So what are some good practices to starting a new channel, tips, I hate using the phrase, like warm up

Decide first if you willing to spend upto a decade, building your youtube channel. All the best channels I see have been going for a decade and some longer. They started small and grow over time. Too many noobs now think that its possible for them to make a really popular channel, and do millions of subs and views with AI slop and make money in a few months. Its not. What is your content niche on yotuube? are you doing animations? funny films ? what?

Your focus should be on content. Keep improving it and also do promotion for your channel, you might need to run ads initially to get discovered.

First thing is that you need very good budget to start. If you think, you can start with just a mobile phone and go viral, it will not happen.

Honestly, just post consistently from day one and let YouTube learn your new niche instead of overthinking the “warm-up” stuff.

Starting a new YouTube channel in 2025, especially after switching niches, is actually an advantage if you approach it intentionally.

Focus on Clear niche, consistent Shorts, strong branding, SEO titles, and early comment engagement.

honestly i just meant like settings, anything unknown to most

I also started a new channel after changing niches, and found it best to focus on creating quality content from the beginning. Shorts should still be posted regularly, but combined with attractive thumbnails and titles and researching keywords and trends in the new niche increases the chance of videos being recommended

Interested in this as we're about to lanch a Health and Wellness Podcast and YouTube Channel. Content (and good quality content) will not be an issue but I'm wondering in the early stages about Podast Plays/Listens/Streams on Spotify but also YouTube Promo Services? Any pointers?
