Hey,

I m planning to start a new blog. I already purchased a domain and i installed wordpress on it. What other plugins or tweaks needs to be done in order to get it indexed fast as well as SERPS.

How often to make new posts.
How to build backlinks fast.

I m looking for a long term income from this blog, so i m not interested in blackhat techniques. Please provide only whitehat tips.



P.s: The information in this section is scattered and i m not able to find the information, as i needed all this information i m creating this thread.
 
Advertise on BHW
You should do at least 1 new post every day. Purchase some backlink services here in BHW, i'm sure they will do a good job.
 
best thing you can do for SEO is download and install the All-In-One SEO Pack it allows you to set title tags, meta tags and such for each post and page. pretty nifty and i would consider a necessity. :D
 
All in one or platinum seo pack is a must, make sure you generate a sitemap and submit it to Google.

Just write and Google will automatically be notified of your content and nor further action is required.
 
Installed all these things and made first post on my blog. Let's see when it gets indexed.

create twitter account
get followers on tweinds,com
install set 1 click, share, like plugin
make page on facebook
get likes on tweinds,com
register on linksalpha
twitter and facebook account works auto for you

^^^^^^ buy some backlinks but dont overdo it you do not want to get sandboxed
 
There's a lot of black hatters in here, and they can help you a lot for sure. The white hat way is the harder way, while the black hat way is faster,just make sure you don't get into trouble, and you're good to go.
 
i have a problem with Wordpress Stats plugin. It says I am using a different API key so I need to log in to it usign the account I used previously. But I don't know how. My stats are locked so I can't monitor my stats right now.
 
If possible, post new content on daily basis.

join niche directories and blog marketing directories. They help you with search engines and a good way to build relationships with other people. Try Blogoola and blog catalog. Blog engage also helps. Have your content readily available everywhere. :)
 
Until you get at least 100 visitors per day try posting at least 4 times a day, after you reach that, try posting only 2 times a week so your readers don't ger saturated, make bookmarks, twitter new posts, it will get you indexed fast, there is even a plugin for that, try searching on google for onlywire, and for backlinks you could try linkexchange. Good luck
 
I suggest if you donot have experience then hire someone to do that all stuff
