My ultimate goal after becoming successful enough off of smaller websites is to create an LLC and start my own major video game blog (like kotaku or destructoid). One question though, how do you go about hiring writers? How much start up money do you believe I should have? I am really clueless about projects as big as these. Thanks.

There is no set in stone method for doing that. You can find writers on odesk, but if you're starting a major blog with the goal to attract real readership, etc... you need to find people who love gaming as much as you do, and can write well. A way to start with part time employees would be to get involved with gaming forums and maybe get guys who are in college and have the free time and desire to write part time. Otherwise you'd have to do what everyone else does, post a job listing on craigslist and/or monster.com and sort through applications.

Hey phuningenji, I too am trying to get my video game blog off the ground. We update it daily and definitely share a love for video games. I am wondering if we could work something out where we share content and/or link back to each other. My blog PR is 1 :( and the main site's PR is 2, but we're channeling a lot of our energy right now to increase both of those. Let me know if you want to try and work something out. It could be good for both of us.

Regards,

Kingcron
