I've been working online for a while now and I do have some knowledge about SEO. Things have changed quite a lot since I had website solely for ranking purposes, but here I am, thinking in diversifying my revenue streams and building a website from scratch.
I'm looking to build a website that has articles (quality manually written by my partner with the help of A.I but manually checked and improved, like 1 by 1, no bulk posting), and when its done, monetize it. Also, we do have a budget of 2000$.
I have a few questions and would mean the world to me if you'd find a few minutes answering them (yes I've been searching and reading on this forum already for a while now):
1) I'm still thinking about the niche thingy -> Finance, Health etc... So my thought process is this (correct me if I'm wrong)
- Health -> ranks hard cause of EAT, it impacts life of people so its not an easy niche to be in especially not ranking fast, so you need at least 6 months to see some results - even though I kinda like this niche due to the fact that I've been studying nutrition and fitness for the past 2-3 years, im no doctor so yea
- Tech -> this is quite promising as I'm not affecting people lives. I should go with trends? I should go with articles about phones/tablets/PCs? Give me some ideas of angles here, as tech niche is huge..
- Finance -> same as health
- other big markets/angles?
2) Once I have the website built, Wordpress, good theme, 100% page speed, awesome articles bla bla all that cool stuff, what's the best way to monetize?
- AdSense? is it worth it? Does AdSense brings serious money? Worth thinking about AdSense at all?
- Selling backlinks? If I sell backlinks via gues posting, won't that affect my ranking as well? I thought that if you start posting other people websites, Google will see this and kinda penalize you?
- Affiliate? What's the best transition from an article to a product/service selling? Does the selling happen inside the article itself or through other ways? How do you actually sell the product/service?
3) Link building.
- PBNs -> this concept is kinda new to me, but correct me if I'm wrong. You have the site A and then you build site B,C,D that links to site A? Should be one linking via hyperlink to homepage or article? You gotta buy all the time new domains? How this PBN thingy works the best? Costs a lot of money? Takes a lot of time? More light on this would be great!
- Backlinks -> worth buying from BHW? Worth buying from other websites?
4) Tools.
- What are the best tools you recommend to use in this journey? I need to look at my competitors I assume, then see the keywords volume etc.. I know that there are tons of tools out there that are doing tons of stuff, but since I'm beginning this journey as a non-pro webmaster, looking for help here should be a first step.
- Best free tools or with trials are preffered, but also paid ones are good. I do also prefer paid ones only if we'd be keep using them. I wouldn't want to spend 200$ on a tool that's like one time use.
This domain is huge, and I'm looking to build this as a long term business. Can't quite put it as a side hustle because I am willing to give 110%, but I do this to be another source of income as is never a good thing to have only one source.

- worth starting a blogging site in 2023?
- you see a wordpress site that is well ranked, an asset? even though it doesn't generate much revenue overnight?
- I know its a long term game, but what are your thoughts in terms of revenue generating if we have 2000$ to spend into this and we have all the technicalities sorted out? How fast you'd think we would manage to rank? I know it depends on all of the other factors, but let your mind go wild and say your thoughts!
