Over the past year I’ve been building and publishing different apps, but none of them really took off. Mostly just enough to cover costs. I work full-time as a software developer, but I’m always experimenting with side projects.
Recently I started looking into building a regional escort directory. At first I was surprised by how many already exist and almost dropped the idea, but after reading some discussions here and doing more research, I realized there’s still real potential. Some regional platforms are making surprisingly good money, which motivated me to keep going. (some of the existing directories uses wordpress, which is a surprise for me)
I’ve now built a first version and I’m close to launching. It supports listings with images and videos, premium options, etc. and it’s built in Golang for performance and low server costs.
Now I’m focusing on marketing and growth before I hit the "launch" button. If you have any advice, ideas, or experience to share, especially around promotion, SEO, or backlinks, I’d really appreciate it.
