Starting a digital product, an ebook, advices?

So I want to start a digital product, an ebook.. To create an mailing list from 0 to don't know 10k? To create a site with only LP, WP maybe.. Pay for backlinks, PPC maybe? No really, I don't know, will see when I start doing all of that work..

My question are all in advices, basically I am newbie in this field but I want to learn and to try this. So can you tell me what to do? What to read, links, books, software's.. Everything what you people can tell me will be great..

Besides the usual "use the search button, read past threads" advice, I'd suggest you put the term [METHOD] in the search box. You'll get a whole lot of 'method' posts that explain how to do this or that, including selling ebooks.
