This is not your problem bro. Your problem is that entry level clothing industry is saturated to the limit, to the point where the printing companies are the only ones making money.

Just to give you an example, I took an entrepreneurship course in college a couple years back and out of the 30 people in class I was the roughly the only one who's idea was something different from "I'm going to make t-shirts, give out a bunch to friends to promote, sell some on the street to get my printing money back & eventually make some fresh hoodies and go BIGG."

It's like becoming a blogger #133,242,646 in IM and hoping to get rich with adsense. Unless you have a unique twist & unique brand (like Tom's Shoes - give out a free pair of shoes to charity for every pair sold) - don't even bother.

As usual, I don't recommend Magento. Bitch to use if you're not good with php/html and scripting in general, or if you can't afford someone to constantly change it for you.
Opencart, X-cart, Pinnaclecart. Pick your choice. I personally went with X-cart for one client who has a clothing brand. Had no issues. Just be sure to have a one page checkout, SSL, newsletter, pictures of the shirts in every color.

Not related to the website though: Please don't choose a crap shirt supplier. I want to stab people who make shirts that feel like an iron suit. American Apparel has some very nice 100% cotton blanks but they can be pricey.

Before starting anything you should choose it wisely so that you do not get dissapointed later.
Because it is the matter of your life if you loose these times then you will never get this back.

what do u guys recommend after starting a clothing line to get traffic to your website, other then the social medias like instagram, twitter...ect?

Well I'd say you need some experience in order into enter into new fields try asking around on how other local clothing brands broke out of their cage , you could find how to market online . but be sure on what you want , all the best , do keep us informed if you start your project.
