So I have a channel with 4k subscribers and 3 million views but they came from doing an experiment with music. Of course I wasn't able to get accepted for monetization so i stopped using it. However after seeing some channels and reading some threads on here, it has inspired me to reopen up the channel.
1st Idea - I can change the niche of the channel from music to a "how to" type channel. I was planning on teaching others how to start and grow a youtube channel. I would start up a youtube series on growth tips and even start a new channel to showcase the results. The new channel would be about MMO and the 2 channels wouldnt be connected except through the series.
2nd Idea - Change the music niche to the "MMO' niche I wanted to start on the new channel but instead on the grown channel. It would be much easier to monetize and since the subscribers are a bit active some of them may give the new channel theme a shot. I was planning on making videos about journeys on new ventures I would take, talk about crypto, r/beermoney topics, and even some topics from BHW. Of course credit always doing where credit is due.
3rd Idea - This idea would be keep it a music channel but find workarounds and try to monetize it a different way, or to turn it into a compilation channel since the foundation has already been built.
I have to admit that I have already started on the 1st idea. I made a video on how to start a youtube channel, made the channel, bought art for it, and made a video. Currently the channel has 0 subscribers and 0 views, as i was just trying to get a video up for the "main" channel. If i do choose to continue on the first idea, I already have some thoughts in mind on how to get it to their first 1k subs and how to get passive views.
If anyone has experience with growing a mmo channel/ music channel/ or even how to channel, could you explain why you chose what you chose? They are seem to have tough competition but i believe with hard work and consistency and a few twists on traffic, any of these could become popular over time.
