Started my site - what do I do next?

Ive started my site, cant link to it as im a new(ish) user of BHW but google shreddybrek and it should come up. I also have a youtube channel of the same name. I decided to make the website after starting a Youtube series.

Using SEO Site tools, my Page rank is still a ?

I know I need to start building more content on the site, but what else should I be doing at this point? My plan is to put adsense on it to monetize it, but i've read on BHW that putting adsense on a new site straight away is bad.

Ive verified analytics and webmaster tools to the site. The past 2 days its had 0 visitors. Today I submitted it to a number of free directories.

What else should I be doing at this stage?

You have not done a lot on it already. If you think so , its a mistake.

You have to do a lots of link building and social media to reach there. For link building you can have a list of various link building method which can be used ..here I have listed them :

don't put adsense yet, wait the site to mature couple of month..

for now keep adding new and new content.

It would be better to finish your website first before adding AdSense. Work on targeting traffic first by putting fresh and relevant content and build backlinks from different authority websites. It's nice to promote a complete website with useful content. Build a website with a great purpose, and then consider putting Adsense. Adsense works best when you have a long term view and strategy.
