So, i started my own social network finally, got it up and running, it is a one worder and is a catchy word so im wonder if there is any certain way to get users to join in example craigslist in the personals or anything like that,
any ideas would be great guys

also, this is not a pay site, just a social network like myspace, thought about making it pay but still have to get users and a way to accept credit cards and checks

What script did you use or made it yourself. If the names catchy then it will stick i think.

yeah, nirose, im sorry i dont really want to give the script name out, but it was a open source script that i have been working on for the past year to make a little better.
chatbar, chat, blogs, music , polls, videos, pic albums, a rating system, and a few other features.

i am too using a free opensource script phpizabi. seems they are developing a completely new script there which will come out on 2010.

And well good luck with that.

Collect some emails and send "You friend has added you/sent you a request to join this great site" and add your twist and send the emails.

This will help get the users.

hmm thanks nirose. my script kinda cost me a little bit, but its open source and worth the money.
