Started Cold Calling Today

Fun fun :D. Been working on my cold calling script, and I finally mustered up the confidence to start calling. It's pretty intimidating until you really try it.

My Stats
2 Rejections
6 Call Backs
2 Dead numbers

So far so good. :)

Everyday I'll be calling, so if you guys would like, I could update my stats daily.

Does dressing up as one count? :) And yeah, I'm pretty stoked seeing the stats today. Hopefully by the 3rd week I'll have my first client. *crossesfingers*
 
Just remember to smile always when talking to a potential customer -- its an old trick we used and it makes a difference!
And dont give up, i will be starting again next week for an hour a day, and trying to get a buddy to call full time.
Would wish you good luck but it sounds like your gonna make your own luck -- all GREAT!

saw this in a business documentary, telemarketers that smiled had higher sales

My own service. I'm charging $250 just to get my foot in, so I could offer more services.
 
Great job! I started calling today after a 2 month break too, but it's really not bad if you just get a few of them done.
 
Dialing for dollars...the good ol' days. Wait, not much is good about cold calling. You will likely get burnt out pretty quickly, it's depressing work, even when you're working for yourself.

Agreed. Cold calling is tough to stay motivated and getting a ton of people saying no can be depressing even if you know for sure that you will land one eventually.
