I'm tired and impatient of waiting for google core update to be completed now. We're in April ffs and my site traffic has tanked big time.

Some of you are still posting and some are not. But I decided to write some new articles and post it.

I see google is indexing it as usual, couple of hours as well which is good However I usually start ranking right away once I'm indexed since these keywords are extremely low difficulty however I'm no where in the serps.

I'll assume because it is just very early and update is still ongoing but at least getting indexed is a positive sign.

are you using ai to write these articles?
 
What type of content are you using? If it's AI, how well are your prompts put together?

How big was your site penalized with March's update?
 
This is pretty much how all my new articles start:

Also, I revise articles which don't perform to my expectations.

No all hand written going forward now. It's a pain but I'm testing to see what happens.

It's manually written and no penalties. I just had most of my best earning posts deranked. Still indexed just dissappeared from serps.
 
So now it's more than couple hours and my posts are still not ranking. The articles are indexed as usual but not showing on serps which they usually would. Will see what happens in time.
 
to stop posting during updates is the one of the most absurd advices given,
it's not like google have a algo that would detect if you're posting during an update and penalize your website for it,

the common advice is to not do anything during an update & it's applicable for the websites that got hit,
that's because some may be detected as false positives, eventually getting back after a couple of days/weeks,
some bugs in the SERPs during the updates (frequently happening during the previous years),
and some adjustements that could be made by Google about the update(s) itself, getting your rankings back,

keep in mind that all of this can happen to any of the websites you're getting links from,
leading to traffic decline even while your content is satisfying the bots,

to stop posting during the update is the same as any given time,
simply giving signals that you're not posting content frequently as before,

keep posting your content,
after the update is fully rolled out, if your website(s) if affected, you probably need to make changes then,
then you can make the changes & improve/adjust both old & new content
 
You can use AI content with proper human to improve your content quality better. Then it might get work but I thinking waiting will be good thing to right now.

I did stop because i wasn't sure if the new content will be affected by the update and now I see it is.

The articles i wrote recently would be ranking by now but are nowhere in the serps. So Google is either delayed or ranking is affected during this update. Either way, I'm hoping this changes soon otherwise new and updated content won't be visible

Also according to GSC I'm in position 1 but that's not possible

For better, try some other than content. IMO it's a waste of time.

Yeah... just be better than forbes, quora, pinterest, reddit and all other major players now... ideally you should speak to google to get a special deal like reddit. :-) Good luck!

After the update it doesn't mean your ranking will be back immediately it takes sometimes for google to analysis the content and update the ranking.

I understand but my current new articles isn't ranking at all yet being indexed but I'm being hopeful
