Okay, so I was scrolling through my personal twitter feed and seeing all these accounts I followed like "Awesome Cars" or "House Porn" and realized that I could do something like that, and then promote my own website and probably make some decent bonus cash. So I created a twitter account that basically posts sick and lavish pictures with small captions. I bought a large number of followers (not exactly sure how many but more than 10k) and I have 15k followers right now. I usually follow like 50 people per day from other accounts like the ones I mentioned above. I follow people that I know have retweeted those accounts, because I want people that will retweet me and expand my reach. Here is what I am doing, if anyone has advice, I would love to hear it! Thanks

1) Posting anywhere between 1 and 6 pictures/tweets per day
2) following 50-100 people who have retweeted similar accounts
3) bought some followers to seem a bit more legit

Any advice? Tips? I also am a computer science student (20 years old) and I am thinking about writing my own little software to manage the account (post every 2 hours, etc).

You're pretty much doing all that you can right now with that account. Writing a bot would be a good idea because it will help you find out what times of the day are best for you to post, what kind of pictures work best for the account, which don't work, etc. Just make sure you're posting good content.

as eric said, get a bot so you don't have to do that manually cause it will get boring. And start following more, up to 1000-1500 you should be fine and your account will grow faster. also you could try growing several account at the same time, it will mean more followers overall and better potection in case any of your accounts get blocked.

Thanks for the responses guys. Yeah I will begin writing that bot tonight. I will keep a long array of images and quotes to tweet and it will loop through those every 30 minutes I suppose. Once that bot is working, I will use it several times in parallel to grow other accounts too as you guys have suggested. I'm starting to actually see some decent RT's and favorites on my tweets which is exciting. Should I unfollow those who do not follow me back? or is it not worth it.

You should yes, but make sure you don't only unfollow the non followers. Twitter will suspend your account for doing this. Try keeping it at minimum 20% real followers. So like for every 4 non followers unfollowed, unfollow 1 follower. There's sites to help find inactive people

Got it, thanks for the tip. Just so you know, twitter has already suspended my account twice for "aggressive following" (this was in the first few days of the life of this account), before I had 15k followers. All I had to do though was checkmark a box saying I would stop aggressively following lol.

Same thing happened to me, I got suspended then I just agreed not do it again to get my account back. :D

Never really thought of doing a journey thread, just thought about asking questions, general discussion, etc. But this can serve as one! My followers are slowly but surely increasing. Unfortunately, I have a full time job in the summer so the number of hours I can work is limited. That being said, I'm still tweeting a lot and have made some decent progress. I will certainly look into getting a macro bot.

Also, a good friend of mine is operating the corresponding instagram account, we're going for the double attack!
