So I have site that is a PR 2 about a year old in the "weight loss" niche. It has maybe 5,000 links to the whole domain, and I currently sell products like diet pills, fitness programs etc.

So now I'm thinking of promoting other health related products like maybe teeth whitening, skin care stuff etc. on the site, which is sort of "health related" but obviously not in the "weight loss" niche.

I was thinking of creating a new site for this, however obviously if I do its going to be tougher to rank keywords on the new site as the site isn't as "established" as if I just create pages on my old site. Plus there is all the Google Dance BS etc. that comes along with it.

Just curious if you guys in my situation would develop more pages on the "old" site rather than start with a new one, just based on an SEO ranking perspective as the products are in the "health" category, but not particularly related.

Oh all my traffic is from Search Engines, so its not really like a site where people come back to day to day for stuff like a forum or blog or something.

Thanks in advance.

Simple. Just reorganize.

General Health | Diet & Weight Loss | Other Tab | Other Tab | Yet Another Tab

I would start a new site for reasons that are not SEO related, among them are:

- Never Keep Your Eggs in One Basket
- If It Works, Don't Touch It

If your weigh loss related site include those keywords in the domain I will definitely start another, if not.. then I'd be better on developing and focusing on only one site, being your actual one.

yeah.. I agree if you still have those keywords start a new one.

If your actual site is doing well for the weight loss niche so keep it and don't touch it, you risk to lose your ranking, and start another one about the others products
