It's really a good news that the start button is available again in Windows 8.1, do you think so?

I got used to no windows button in windows 8 so it wouldn't bother me in the least. The start button is just shortcuts to everything you can get too with the run command or desktop shortcuts so not a huge deal.

I dont care, it doesn't take long to get used to using without it.

Sucks. I really like the tile screen. 8, imo, has been my favourite OS since XP. I won't be upgrading.

I still need to download Windows 8. I had the beta when it was out. I like the new UI but the start button didn't really matter to me.

couldn't care less, I am so used to windows 8 that it is actually much faster to work without that start button.

it is said that the start button will open up the tiles, just like clicking on the bottom left corner of current windows 8

I got 8 on the laptop, and decided to keep 7 on the desktop after that. I guess I'll have to switch at some point, but happy with 7 for now :)

windows 8 sucks anyway
i never found a better OS than XP
I still use xp on my pc and windows 8 on laptop

Eventually to stop making drivers for windows xp,which sucks it was the best os.

If you are using Window 8, you can update to 8.1 for free.

Well, i just watched a video and it appeared like the start button only triggers the new surface, not the classic startbar. Is this still the case? If so, this button is just worthless.

I can get w8 for free through university. :p

I'm upgrading when w8 has matured enough with significant increase in performance and little to no bugs.

I use the button from Orbit on windows 8. Using tiles is still ok if you know some cmd shortcut for quick access.

As for windows 8.1, better wait for the actually version. I tried their Beta. Heck is full of problem, it should be more Dev phase instead of Beta.
