What are the best niches for blogging? I want to start a blogging business. willing to start with 5-10 websites from different niches. What do you think? Is it a good decision?
1. What will be the approximate cost (for starting)?
2. What will be the maintenance recurring cost?
3. Suggest some of the best top-performing niches to start with?
4. Also, thinking to add some amazon niches in the list.
Your thoughtful response will help me and others...

You can directly purchase articles and use them to host blogs that can get more interaction.

Running 5–10 new blogs at once is risky, so I’d start small because one good site can teach you everything you need.

Looking at your questions, you'll quit in no time.
Start with one, learn the ropes. Find at least some success with one before starting multiple sites

Your first blog will most likely not be very successful, but it will help you learn what to do and not to do. Starting with 5-10 without the experience will probably just be a waste of time and money.

I'd suggest you start with one and run it for a few months at least, update, tweak, test things out. After that you can start another one and try to do it better. Most difficult part right now is probably niche/keyword research and traffic.

As for costs you should start with some basic shared hosting (not going to recommend any as I am not sure which ones are good these days), this will cost somewhere around $5-10 per month. Domain is typically around $10/year but depends on your registrar and the type of domain you get.

So if you're starting one blog you should be looking at a startup cost of about $15-20.

Asking for niches won't help. People are going to list down a bunch of them and you may have no idea how to write content in those niches.
Do your own research and start with just one. At least work on it for 6 months to see if you can get any results at all.

Starting 5-10 sites at once is a terrible decision that dilutes focus; instead, launch one site in a proven evergreen niche like personal finance (credit cards/investing), home improvement (appliances/tools), or health & wellness (supplements/fitness gear) with a $500-$1k startup budget for hosting, content, and basic SEO, expecting $100-$300/month in recurring costs.

5-10 sounds too confident and looks more like a personal challenge. x10 blogs doesn't mean x10 success speed rate so one at a time is enough to gain experience and then make money.
niches: Ai, personal health/finance.

It's best to start with two–three blogs and expand later. Prices for blogs are around $200–400 and maintenance is $50–150. Tech, personal finance, home improvement and fitness are trending niches.

Starting 5 10 sites at once is too much. begin with one or two. Costs are basically domains, hosting and content.
Maintenance stays cheap unless you outsource heavily.

thanks to everyone for your kind suggestions. I have something in my mind. will share those soon to get suggestions from you guys... these will help me a lot

Starting 5-10 sites is a guaranteed way to fail. You'll spread your budget and focus too thin. Every successful blog I've seen started with one site, mastered it, then replicated.

For a single-site start-
  • Cost: ~$150-$300 for domain, basic hosting, and your first 10-15 articles.
  • Monthly: ~$30-$50 for ongoing hosting and maybe 2-3 new articles.
  • Niche: Pick one based on commercial intent, not just interest. "Best cordless drill for concrete" (Amazon affiliate) is better than "history of power tools." Look for products with a $50+ price point and lots of reviews.
The best niches right now solve a specific, recurring pain point-

  • "Air purifiers for apartment allergies"
  • "Ergonomic office chairs for tall people"
  • "Blenders for smoothies with frozen fruit"
These are narrow enough to dominate, have clear affiliate products, and answer questions people are actually searching for. Start with one, learn SEO, then scale to a second site in 6-12 months if the first is growing.

Its smarter to start with a single blog, really perfect it and learn the ropes before thinking about adding other sites. Quality over quantity wins long term.

No don’t do it, today’s seo is all about quality and real authority, you can’t fake expertise across ten categories at once, and you’ll risk money with nothing focus. the smarter move build one strong authority site, grow it until it earns $xxx then think about starting the next.

Multi-blogging can work, but it's better to focus on one or two blogs initially
Start-up costs: $100-$250
Maintenance per site: $100-$200
Good niche ideas are finance, health, tech, beauty, pets and travel,
Focus on quality and scale slowly.

Starting several blogs at once can work, but it’s usually smarter to begin with just a few so you can learn what actually gets traction. The initial cost is generally a few hundred dollars per site for hosting, domains & content and the ongoing expenses mostly come from renewals, hosting, and whatever tools you keep using. niches that tend to do well are those with steady search demand and clear monetization, like personal finance, home and garden, pets, tech how-tos & evergreen hobbies. Amazon niches can still work too if you focus on helpful, in depth content instead of simple product lists. overall, start lean, watch what grows, and build from there.

Why 10 sites to start ? Just do with 1-2 for start. Once they start generating revenue, invest it in more. Less risk this way.

Amazon affiliate websites are not very much profitable now. You have to spend good amount on content and the commissions they offered are already reduced by them.

I suggest you have a look in the journey section. Theres not too many recent and active threads about affiliate marketing though but the concept remains the same.

Here's one recent for Amazon affiliates https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/j...onth-and-growing.1771689/page-6#post-20146731

No idea why OP decided to close the thread but it shows it's still possible, and even failing blogs can be sold to recoup the investment.

As for traffic sources you should absolutely focus on SEO and organic traffic but try to get early visitors from sharing your posts on social media and other platforms.
