Hi everyone,

I have made some cash with SEO and selling websites and now i want to start my own SEO company. I live in belgium and here there are not so much SEO professionals (i'm not saying that i am one but i know thanks to this forum many things).

So here is my idea:

Start a company with 3 offers of SEO :

Package A, Package B and Package C.

As a marketing man I don't want to make the SEO myself but want to do subcontracts.

For example : I find a client who wants 2500 backlinks, i buy a service who costs me 50$ and I resell it 200$.

I know i can find many clients here in belgium. What do you guys think ? Should I invest my money, create the company, make some adwords adveristing, etc. ?

It depends on how much you have to invest, and how much you're risking with that investment.

Sub-contracting is definitely the way to go, as it means you simply need to re-market the services, but instead of being an affiliate, you're in control of the brand, profits, margins, payments etc.

If you've got enough to; set-up your infrastructure (website/contact channels (e.g. phone/office/etc)/payment channels (e.g. PayPal/GCO/merchant account/etc)), utilize a considerable amount of marketing/advertising channels, and fine-tune your campaigns, then yes, definitely.

Thanks for your answer.

I can invest up to 10k €, here in belgium you can start a company with only 1€ (symbolic) and after 5 years you need to reech 18.600€, I think it's possible.

I am webmaster and can do the website myself, i'll in the beginin starts with adwords (30-40 € per day can bring me 50 visitors per day for the best keywords). What other adverstising should I do ?

In US maybe... but here in belgium, can't find a seo provider who can make you 10.000 live backlinks for example.

Not too competitive in the US either; half of those claiming to offer SEO Services just offer some bullsh*t backlinks, and then disappear with the clients money. Which is why people in the SEO field have such a negative reputation.

And to the OP, your plan looks good. I would just recommend taking out the whole "Package Idea". Every business is unique, and their needs will be unique. You want to be able to make custom packages for each business in order to reap the most profit. My two cents.

Start small and scale up when you have a working business model. Lineup some customers early on and get some good partners. Being an agent you must protect your customer contact list at all costs!

Best thing to do is : check on local google for clients / contact them using your strategy. In my humble opinion it is useless to advertise and wait for the client to come to you. Push it a little further. You need to go to the client!

don't bother with PPC, if there is no competition like you say then first you should try ranking organically in your local google for a variety of keywords.

Then you should take your marketing offline.
Maybe try printing up some good sales postcards and mail them to a large list of small businesses in your city.

Make sure your presentation looks professional and you should get sales.

There is a problem in contract.
You need to contract for a person / company / group you know it very serious.

Your name (company name) will be affected if any problem occur in one of the services provided.

So, in spite of to be "contracting" this does not mean you will be 100% sure the contracted person will really be serious.

Be careful.

Hey bro, if you are doing a seo site, I will advice you to register a local domain from your country. Google gives a lot of priorty to such domains compare to international domains. For example, if you are from belgium, rather than registering .com domains, I will advice you to register a .com.be.

So if someone from belgium is searching for seo related stuff, and your domain has .com.be, google will rank such sites high in the engines, if you have done good seo optimzation on it. This is just my 2 cent.

How do i know this works? Cos, this is how I earn some good money targetting my local community. Eventhough, the domains can be much expensive than buying a .com, it is very well worth your effort in the long terms.
