Starlink Reselling in Africa: A Growing Business with Big Challenges – What’s the Solution?

With internet tariff hikes hitting hard in some African countries, many smart entrepreneurs have turned to Starlink reselling as a business. Instead of every household or business getting their own subscription, one person sets up Starlink and sells access to multiple users in online marketplaces, business hubs, and residential areas.

The model works—users pay a monthly fee to the Starlink owner, who then renews the subscription while keeping a profit. But now, two major issues are threatening this business:

A) iPhone users sharing the connection password with non-paying users—eating into profits.

B) Poor network strength for users far from the provider point, leading to complaints and lost customers.

These challenges are making it harder to scale and risking the sustainability of this business model.
what do you think?

How can Starlink resellers stop unauthorized access without hurting paying customers?

What’s the best way to solve weak connection issues for distant users?

Should Starlink introduce a business-tier plan to make reselling more efficient?

Starlink has a business tier plan but not in every country. It will soon be available in some African counties. Elon has no concern about what you do with your dish as long as it is legal.
