Basically I need an application that has a single button with the backend function of connecting to an openvpn server. Unfortunately, the only way to do this is to compare with the public openvpn3 API that requires root access, and design a custom vpn protocol that interacts with the server without requiring root access on the phone. The library containing the protocol will have to be written in C++ or C then included and embedded in the iOS application using Objective-C or Swift. The application must be standalone, meaning that the user must NOT have to have the "OpenVPN Connect" app also installed on their device for this to work.
