I have purchased a domain name and hosting. It came with free SSL Certificate.. Anyway, I am setting up a Wordpress site, and when configuring, it says to select https:// rather than http:// if you have SSL. Does that mean if someone types http://mysitename.whatever, it wouldn't go to my site? Would they specifically have to type the "s"? I mean, I get that hardly anybody probably types http anything, but sometimes I do, and I know that surely others do, too. I don't think it should be a problem... What do you guys think?

EDIT: Also, for SEO purposes, would I need to include "https" on all my backlinks?

No, WordPress does it by its own so u don't have to do anything in case you select https, however if I am not mistaken, it replaces it to HTTPS only on the admin part of the site.

As a side note you have SSL but they don't come installed by default you have to ask your hosting company to place it for you and you will need to hire an IP from your hosting company if you don't already have one.

    And for backlinks?

Does anyone know if my backlinks will have to say http or https?
