Hi, @jaycewarrior. Yes. It helps in your ranking. If you got SSL Certificate on your server, it will show in Google and Firefox that your website is secure. With this certificate, your referrer data will also remain unlike with unsecured sites wherein their referrer data gets lost. When your referrer data is lost, it can affect your analytics since it is considered a "dark traffic". So to sum it up, it helps to get an SSL Certificate.

can you guys please tell me where can i get free ssl??? and what's the different between paid ssl and free?

SSL helps a lot for SEO because search engines give upper edge to Secure sites. You can get Free SSL as well

There are several kinds of certificates. Some kinds of paid ones are just like the free ones, but generally they offer insurance.

You should be adding SSL purely so users don't see the "not secure" tag, not because google might like it.

It's free.

This really matters. Whenever search engine try to index your website it try to index it with your secured network and it checks your ssl certificate but this doesn't matter much there as the search engine gonna index it either. But some search engine try to keep the hypertext transfer protocol secured instead of hypertext transfer protocol with the domain name. And then traffic will stuck on some error message. And even chrome also redirect to hypertext transfer protocol secured.

Yes, It helps. In fact its one of the ranking factors of major Search Engine. So get one ASAP

It's not something you definitely need, but if you are considering it for SEO benefit, then yes you should get it. Check if your competitors have it, it's easier to decide on that.
