Hello everyone,
As you can tell by the title, I'm curious about combining old-school DR Copy techniques with modern media buying. For the uninitiated, the SRDS provides "data cards" filled with addresses, emails, phone numbers, and more of people who've purchased from certain brands, or certain industries.
The idea I had was renting a list from the SRDS (standard rate and data service) and using the given emails to create lookalikes audiences in my Facebook ads acct.
For example, if I sell a fitness-related product, I would rent a list of buyers of GNC Supplements, export the emails as a CSV, upload that CSV to a Facebook audience and create a lookalike with it.
Has anyone tried this? What were the results? Is this a common "hack" people use or does FB just Insta-Ban you?
Thanks!
