Hi there

Has anyone had any success using squidoo to publish pages to try and drive traffic to the $$$ making page / site?

I have popped a couple of lens on today and was really quite impressed with how easy it was. I understand that squidoo take care of the seo to a certain extent so it seems like a good idea?

Who is responsible for driving the traffic to the "lens"?

Thanks in advance

G

Your responsible.... its like a normal site but yet in a network too so you get extra traffic

Now employ me at $20 a lense for optimization :P LOL

It might not be a bad idea lewi :)

Would you generate some traffic too? PM me with details I am very interested

I use lenses for landing pages, squeeze, etc and promote the fire out of them. It's not perfect by any means.. but not bad either.

When making a lens on Squidoo, to make it SEO friendly, you need to:

1) Use keywords in the anchor text.

2) Use tags.

3) Ping

4) Bookmark the site.

Check out the thread below and watch the video I posted:

Also, get the free ebook from Michele MacPhearson. The following thread has a link for the site where you can get it:

Yes make a very detailed squidoo page and your page can rank very highly for whatever you're promoting. Just try to keep it natural looking and loaded with keywords.

Morning all

Thanks very much for all of the replies and I am likely to take you up on your offer lewi. Wiz, cool video and much appreciated.

acp0rnstar, I have done as you have said should I be joining groups too?

Thanks again peoples

Make sure that you use strong offers and/or incentives on squidoo. They should be above the fold and with anchor text. Squidoo now has so many different ways they are stealing attention away from your actual content that you need to give people a strong enough reason to click on your links and no where else.

One sure way you can get good traffic is by writing quality contents articles, submit to EzineArticles, hub pages, Ac etc linking back to your lenses.

I like to offer a free ebook or mini report with my affiliate links in the report - and I create a nice cover image of this and put a blurb about it right in the introductory section of my lens. Then I also create genuine content about the topic in some text modules.

You can also subscribe to your own site's rss feed using the rss module which will bring up your latest articles on your main site and get those greater visibility if people find you on squidoo.

Also, look at all of your competitor's tags - anybody who is in the same niche as you - and use the same tags on your site.
