I have a Ltd company which is my vehicle for my digital activities.
The company was registered in 2008 and I purchased all the domains
    related to my business name.
My main domain was the .com it was the first time it had been registered
and was not an expired domain.
Now I was AWOL for 13 months and the domains expired.
I managed to re register most of the domains but the .com has
been registered by someone who my investigations have found to
be a professional domain squatter from India.
They have not hosted a site on the domain, all they do is email me
from different companies offering to sell me back the domain at an inflated price.
I'm talking £7000. I know it is the same person as they have left footprints all over
    the web.
I have managed to find the persons name address and phone number.
Now the question is, is there a legal way to retrieve this domain or do I hire
someone to put him out of action until the domain expires again?

The domain is not even that important, the .co.uk works fine for my needs but
I would spend £7000 letting someone know not to f"%k with me.

Unfortunately .com domains are a free for all unless you have a trademark. With other domains such as .com.au you can easily take them off people without trademarks. I think you should just hire a hitman, it would be cheaper.
