Hi there guys! Can you tell me how to find out if my boss got something installed on my computer to spy what I do? I mean including which sites I see, what do I write to people on skype or IM.
    thanks in advance,

Google 'My boss is a dick and I want a new job'.

If you get fired, he's spying on you.

He can monitor your traffic without having to install anything on your computer(through your router).

Just keep it legit at work. Maybe ask him what wouldn't be a appropriate use of your time on the internet to avoid any conflict.

Short answer: Yes he can spy, I can't count the ways. No, you can not stop him without going to extremes. If using those extremes, you are putting your job on the line.
You could connect with a live cd on a VPN and this could be detected, thus making your boss wonder why you would need this while working for him...
Other than that: It is his puter, his connection and he rented your ass to work, not play. :p

There are always ways to see which websites you are visiting through network logs.

There can also be Remote Access Tools installed on the computer to monitor your activity.

The best way to make sure no RAT's are installed on the computer is to reformat the hard drive. Then use a VPN, so the network logs of the sites you are visiting won't show.

You should always assume your job (aka a black hat IT department) are spying on you. When in
    doubt, take Abstroose's advice!

If executed properly there are so many pseudo-undetectable ways, it's really hard to find out. On the other hand, even a lot of the IT control nazis enforcing these smart "techniques" don't really know jack shit a part from running a CC cleaner so if you have something on your machine going here: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals and downloading process explorer and autoruns you'll be able to nail a lot of the most apparent weird processes that might be there to snoop around.. There are ways to detect a sniffing proxy too that acts as a "man in the middle" down to the ARP level, but I guess this is out of scope here. Maybe google that. HTH!

Why do you look at strange porn sites, like midget porn, disabled porn or skateboard sex? If not you should probably be OK.

Ir really depends on the kind of contract you signed when you gained the employment. I wouldn't think it is unreasonable for some sites to block access to time-wasting sites like Facebook etc, but if they're spying on you without you knowing then I would say they're violating some privacy - this will, of course, depend on where you're from. I know if I was being spied on and my boss never informed me they monitor activity, I would take them to an employment court - if they say in the contract that they monitor activity for productivity reasons (and it is within the law), then I wouldn't have a problem with is.

Mate - he knows everything about you.

I run that kind of software on my employee's computers and I know everything they do.

When I worked for a "real" company, 4 yrs ago, he had cameras pointed at every computer, so glad to be on my own. Just to be fair, I monitor employees emails and such...

Only way around this is to not use the company intranet because if they are a smart company they should be keeping security audits and logs of all network access, times and ip's. Take your tablet or laptop and connect using 3g signal bypassing the company wifi and network.

There is a simple test. Surf hardcore porn for a couple of days without his knowledge and if after one week you are still in a job, he is probably not spying on you.

Format the computer and use tethered 3G. That is the safest way i know.
