no I don't think so.I know guys who can rank spun content with quality backlinks.
It depends... If you are looking to build organic traffic using spun content, then forget about it. However, you can use spun content to get more out of the traffic you already get. E.g. you can spun some clickbait articles from other sites to your site and keep them on the sidebar under "featured content" or something like that.

i agree with you we already used spun content in our blogs and got rank. Some spun tools do really good work for example "wordai"

I always said stay away from spun content but with this thread I will try it someday, anyway you need to spin your content by hand so it's a bit hard for some people on matthew's blog he provides a great tutorial on how to spin your content.
It should be unique for google and readable for people, it's no t an easy job to acomplish and with spun content you are making your site on high risk to be penalized by google.
When first I tried to write an article myself I was stuck I'd rather pay my freelancer 1.2$ / 100 words to do it because I basicaly can't do it myself.

Google might not detect that the content is spun but it will detect if the content is written poorly so make sure it's spun well. Also from personal experience spun content doesn't rank.
