Hello,

In light of the Penguin update and the need for anchor text variation I wanted to release a tool I use to create spun anchor texts. I would appreciate any feed back on and or bugs found if anyone would like to check it.

The tool is based on Google Apps Script and works with Google spreadsheets, which are free to use. Go over to docs.google.com to sign up. Google spreadsheets are nice because they are free, accessible anywhere, and unlike web site based tools you can just save your results on another sheet.

To install the script you simply have to put it in the script editor and authorize it by clicking the run button. You can launch the Script Editor from a Spreadsheet by choosing Tools > Script Editor.

Hopefully I can get this published to Google?s script gallery, which would make installing the script easier. But I am still waiting for approval.

You can get the script here:

Here is a sample spreadsheet I set up if you want to have a look and check it out. There is a link to some short directions in it. Also, I set it so the spreadsheet is open to everyone who has the link. Since it is a collaborative system others will be able to see what your doing when the permissions are set this way.

Just realized their is a permissions issue. The script won't run for anon users. Will take a look at this later. Sorry!

Yes, give g direct access to your spammed links, I don't think that's such a great idea! Make it for Excel and you get some feedback.

Turns out you need to be logged in to your google account to execute the script. If you just check it out anon then it doesn't present the menu options.
