If I got it right, artists uploading their own work on spotify will make 1-2$ / 1000 plays. I read about people uploading silence or stupid -but-SEO-optimized songs and making 20k / year (That alone may be a topic to explore with other bhw people, like streams exchange for profit or streams bots ).
But what about content you didn't upload ?
I saw many big youtubers making huge playlists - 900+ songs, would be a pain in the @ss or impossible to do without some kind of automation- on spotify or iTunes. I guess there may be some kind of referal or revenue share ? Anyone knows how that works ?
Edit : there seems to be affiliate programs for iTunes. But can't find for spotify.
