hey spotify those based on the origin of the account or its location to pay royalties
example a German account that broadcasts in England spotify will pay the streams on an English or German basis
cordially

Premium accounts pay for the original country that they were created in. So your example German account will always pay Germany royalties. (Also PLEASE don't listen to anyone that says free accounts pay the same as prems, last guy who did this was trying to sell stuff via private messaging haha)

but what if I pay one year spotify subscription in germany and than change the country to england in the accounts settings? Still german payrates?

For that I'd say rates are most likely reflected from the country of sub payment. So if you change to UK, the rate is still DE since you paid to German store for Spotify.

If the sub expires you might be able to switch to UK and then pay with UK based payment.

Mm well my premium accounts that were created in Switzerland were streamed with Canadian connections for stability purposes during February + March. All their streams still paid in the Swiss rate.

If the Canadian connections I used made them count as Canada streams, then I would have lost about half of my payment since Canada pay rate is like half of Switzerland's haha I would have lost hundreds

But it's probably possible to change account country when the premium sub expires and pay in that country for it's pay rate

I will have questions that I can't get answers to if anyone has an idea: Do you know if the accounts have limits on listening hours per month? Do you know if a premium account can listen to a song a maximum of times per month? I have so many songs in the circuit that I can no longer do any testing and since it takes three months to check all of this... I lose patience every time. as I only run premium accounts I can never define if these are my accounts or those that arrive naturally! but I have ousiuqzs who can have 200 listenings per month and others 5000... to understand nothing

Mhmm okay thank you. But did you changed your country settings in the accounts too? Is that even possible? This would great, haha. Paying cheap Turkish premium price but getting paid with Switzerland rates.
